We have made it back to Fountainview Safe and sound - it did take us 24 hours to get here though! We had a stop over in L.A then San Fran and then onto Seattle, after which we had a 6 hour drive back to F/V. We got here about 10pm. Needless to say we are all going a bit slower today.
We arrived at Lihue airport just after 6pm to begin the checking in process. It took longer than we thought and it ended with half a dozen of us getting pulled from the back of the security line and rushed through, to then have to 'sprint' through the airport to board our plane! I have never cut it so fine catching a flight - but we made it on.
Only 2 pieces of luggage got lost - Nolan's bag is still sitting in Lihue and a speaker was left in San Fran. They did manage to snap a double base also! The United lady was very impressed that only 2 bags got lost, with so many in our group and so many stop overs! She seemed quite proud of the fact that it was only 2 they had lost - I didn't think they should have lost any.
We have had a slow start today - they aren't starting school/work till after lunch, which I think is very wish.
I can't believe that our time has come and gone in Hawaii. It has been an awesome experience - God blessed in so many ways. When I returned my rental car, the shuttle driver asked what we had been doing there - I told him we were filming a music DVD. He told me that we were extremely lucky to get such good weather at this time of the year - it isn't usually so nice. I told him that the good weather was because we were there, we had all prayed for the sunshine and the Lord gave it to us.
I hope you have enjoyed the blog (I wouldn't mind if you let me know if you enjoyed it - it is always nice to get feed back).
Off to start wading my way through the mile high pile of washing we have.....................
Thanks I really enjoyed your blog (and all your pics).
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and think it is pretty poor that people can't let you know they enjoy it, when you are so busy, but still make the time. Shame on you blog readers!
ReplyDeleteThank you for making the time to share this great experience with us. We have enjoyed the regular updates and pics. Thanks Dave & Rada
