Las Vegas Here We Come

Well yesturday was 'D' Day - the school headed off to Las Vegas!
We will be gone for 2 weeks.  We are taking part in an evangelistic series that It Is Written is putting on.  You will be able to watch us live on the internet at 11am Pacific time (Canada) and at 8am in New Zealand.  You can watch past presentations if you can't watch it live.  Our first performance to be streamed live will be on Sunday (in Canada) and Monday (in New Zealand).  Hope that all makes sense!  3ABN are airing it also.  There is a listing of times on the It Is Written website.

It can be viewed at www.revelationtoday.com

So far our journey has gone to plan.  We left Fountainview in record time last night - which was great as we had to make an unscheduled stop at the hospital in Lytton for a student to have his finger stitched up.  He slipped while cutting the food for supper!  Even so we arrived at our destination last night an hour before schedule!

This morning we had a 3 hour journey to Lacey, WA where we are having Dr.Blaylock training and doing a concert tonight.  The traffic through Seattle was horrid.  The GPS said there would be a 2 hour delay!  But praise the Lord he kept the HOV (High Occupancy Lanes) open for us and we arrived right on time!  God is good.

The 2 new buses we were blessed to be able to get last week are lovely.  Alistair is enjoying driving one of them, and the students are enjoying riding on them.

We need to come up with a name for each of them - one is they guys bus and the other the girls.  It has been suggested - 'Jack' and 'Jill'.  If you have any creative ideas let me know.

Missey taking in the view on our way to Whistler.
And what a view it was!

Going up the gondola.  Whistler village below us.

Missey got very cold, so Kyle carried her in his backpack - she didn't even try to get out!

Wayne checking out the iciles
On top of the world!

look at all those wheels on the gondola machine!

Missey was more than happy to stay in the back pack since it was -16!  I bet not many dogs have been up to top of Whistler and Blackcomb Mt's in the middle of winter!

Nan and Missey 'hanging out'.  Missey was warming up after her 'ice skating' on the pond proved to be colder than she could handle.

Kyle's new riding boots he got for his birthday from Grandma and Grandpa

Doesn't he look cold! It was -13

Happy Birthday Kyle

Today our boy turns 17!!!

Where has the last 17 years gone???

The 'new look' - with a go-tee (not sure how to spell it)

I thank God for the fine young man He has given us.
I pray that you continue to let the Lord lead you and use you for His glory.

He decided to grow a beard over Christmas.  We took these before he shaved it down to a go-tee.

Happy Birthday Son - we love you lots!

Tamzin, Nan and Kyle - off to vespers

Reflections

On our way to Kamloops
Check out the bald eagle in the tree!

This guy was sitting on the side of the road.  They had a nest over the bank.

Little miss eskimo! On the frozen lake.

Standing on a frozen lake.
Tamzin and Nan's baking efforts!  (the most baking we have done since we moved here!)

Sun Peaks Ski Village - Kamloops

Chris, Tamzin, Paula & Kyle - we went night tubing at Sun Peaks - it was great fun.
Kyle after Chris doused him in snow - (and yes he has grown a beard!)

Alistair, Tamzin, Kyle & Chris about to set off skiing at Sun Peaks this morning.

I hope and pray you all had a Happy New Year and that the coming year is full of many blessings!  Remember - blessings come in all shapes and forms!

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!

Another Christmas day has almost come and gone - and what a great one it has been (even if it is windy and rainy outside!)
We spent the morning opening a wonderful collection of presents and feasting on a gourmet breakfast.
The day was topped off with a scrummy Christmas dinner.

Liberty and Tamzin decorated the table beautifully!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and most of all - Remember the Reason for the Season!
