MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!

Another Christmas day has almost come and gone - and what a great one it has been (even if it is windy and rainy outside!)
We spent the morning opening a wonderful collection of presents and feasting on a gourmet breakfast.
The day was topped off with a scrummy Christmas dinner.

Thanksgiving at Whistler

Last weekend was Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada.  The students had a week off so most of them headed home.  We headed to Whistler - along with the Hall Family, the Lemon Family and a couple of 'extra's'.  We stayed 3 nights in a very fancy apartment/hotel type place.  We really enjoyed it (I didn't want to come home)!  On Friday evening we had a combine Thanksgiving meal with the Hall and Lemon families.  Yolanda organized a room in their hotel that we were able to have our meal in.  It was a great evening - made up of wonderful food, great company and lots of fun.  To finish the evening off we watched The Gathers - Thanksgiving DVD, on the very large TV in the room.
Thanksgiving is a great time to stop and reflect on all the blessings we have received throughout the year and to give thanks to our Lord!

A couple of weeks ago we had a group of 8 guys come for supper on saturday night.  We had lots of fun eating, laughing and playing word games.

The night had the guys over there was an Hawaiian party in the girls dorm.  Tamzin went - they had a great time.

Tamzin and 4 of the other staff girls have lived in the pond on campus over the last couple of weeks - it has been so hot - in the mid 30's (degrees that is).

Check out this watermelon from our garden - it was big.

 My zucchini phone!

Tamzin with her cousin Alexis.  She is my brothers girl.  Anita and Alexis were visiting from New Zealand.

                                                      She has beautiful blue eyes!

I will close off with my two wonderful children!  This was on the bus coming back from ASI, they were trying to keep cool with that tiny fan!

Ride 'em Cowboy!

Today we went a rodeo in Merritt - it was great!

I really enjoyed our day out at the rodeo.  Haven't been to one in years.
I still think these guys are mad doing what they do!
No one got hurt today - so that was good.

Next stop Calgary Stampede!  (One day I hope)

First Day of School

Monday was the first day of school for the year!
I do not know where the summer has gone.

Kyle was all bright eyed and bushy tailed ready to hit the books again - year right!  He really wanted the summer to continue and never end - I think we all did!

So far the week has gone well.
Kyle hasn't been working with Alistair on the farm this week - he has been working in media.  He has been editing some of the songs they filmed in Hawaii which he is enjoying.  Alistair hasn't enjoyed not having Kyle to help him on the farm!  He has a whole new crop of students that he has to 'train up'!  Lots of fun.
